Better Homes & Gardens shared a two-ingredient pumpkin dump cake recipe that’s not just easy to make, but also inexpensive. All it requires is a 15-ounce can of pumpkin puree, a box of cake mix and 25 to 30 minutes in the oven. If you’d like, you could top it with your favorite frosting.
Really, any cake mix will do, but if you are craving fall flavors something like Duncan Hines’ Signature Spice cake mix is nice because it comes spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Chocolate-lovers might enjoy a decadent pumpkin twist with a box of Duncan Hines’ Devil’s Food cake mix.

For instance, Liv for Cake dishes that adding sour cream can make your cake extra moist and flavorful. She also recommends adding in vanilla. You can also replace the oil that the box calls for with melted butter and water with milk for a more gourmet cake, suggests Sugar Geek Show, a blog run by a cake decorator.
