Reese’s Has New White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Thins

While I am a believer that there is no such thing as too much peanut butter in my Reese’s Cup, there are apparently others who think less is more. In response to those looking for less peanut butter, Reese’s launched Reese’s Thins in March 2019, which contain less peanut butter and less chocolate.

Originally available only in milk chocolate and dark chocolate varieties, Reese’s is now adding to its thin lineup with a brand new flavor. Citing growth in popularity of both Reese’s Thins and Reese’s White Peanut Butter Cups, the company has decided to put them together to create new Reese’s White Thins, which are made with white chocolate.

About 40% thinner than a standard Reese’s Cups, the Reese’s White Thins are covered in white crème and are now available nationwide in two bag sizes: 3.1 ounces and 7.37 ounces. Target currently has the larger bag selling for $3.69.

Hershey

Although they’re hitting store shelves along with a bunch of other new treats for Valentine’s Day, a Hershey’s representative told Simplemost that Reese’s White Thins will be a year-round addition to Reese’s line-up, so you don’t have to worry about missing them if you can’t grab some soon!

Hershey’s is also adding York Thins to their year-round lineup, featuring the same dark chocolate and cool mint in the classic York Peppermint Patties, only (you guessed it!), thinner.

Hershey

While it’s clear Hershey’s is embracing the thin trend right now, the candy company actually just broke a Guinness World Record for making the biggest candy bar ever created.

After Mars Wrigley broke the Guinness World Record for the largest chocolate nut bar with a 4,728-pound Snickers, Hershey took the title by creating a nearly 6,000-pound Reese’s Take 5 bar. A far cry from the thin Reese’s, the massive Take 5 bar measured 9 feet long by 5.5 feet wide by 2 feet high.

If that’s a bit much for you, but the thin and regular-sized candies aren’t quite enough, you can also still get the decadent Reese’s Big Cup, which also has Reese’s Pieces loaded inside.

If cookies are more your thing, you’ll find thin versions of both Chips Ahoy and Oreo cookies, or can go the other way with Oreo’s Most Stuf cookies, which have more crème than ever before and are now back on store shelves. You can see just how massive those limited-edition sandwich cookies are in this post from Oreo on Instagram.

Do you prefer the regular versions of your favorite sweet treats or are you enjoying the thin treat trend?
